I am sick of Palin's youdling (sp), countryfide, joe-six pack lingo...."Well alrighty then." "Here we go again." "Gotcha." I do not think she did a good job at all. And I am sick of people setting the bar low for her. Mediocracy / Rehearsed script is not acceptable.

Did anyone see the vote that Solidad conducted with CNN's undecided voters after the debate? Ok, what the hell? She asked everyone if they thought that Obama would win: most of them raised their hands.

Then she asked if they would vote for Obama: Only 25% of the people raised their hands. WTF??

Racism at its finest.

All she did was save herself, I don't think she helped McCain. At this point she was losing folks in her own party so she had more on the line than anyone.

SC you hit the nail on the head on how she rephrases the ?? in her head and answers the way she wants to answer regardless of what is asked but didn't she actually say that what she would do that? Something along the lines of 'I'm not gonna answer the questions "the way you want me to" but I'll talk about my record?" What does she have dyslexic hearing or something?

Joey was cool I and I am happy about that. I would love to be a fly on the wall when he was talking to his people off the record about what he thinks about her knowledge of things.

The one thing that was cool was at least they could give each other credit for things that they had done. McCain wouldn't credit Obama for a damn thing.

She didn't sound like an idiot as much as she has lately but they are not exactly known for their brilliance either. When did we get in the habit of rewarding mediocrity?

I was listening to NPR earlier this week and they were conducting a similar poll. One man said that he did believe Obama would win, but he wasn't going to vote for him because (and hold on to your seat) if Obama won then blacks would go crazy since we (blacks) have an axe to grind with "America".

Palin makes Obama terrorist claim

Sarah Palin accuses Obama of associating with 'a domestic terrorist'

US Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin has accused the Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama, of associating with terrorists.

She said he had been "palling around" with an ex-member of US-based militant group Weather Underground, which opposed the Vietnam War in the 1960s.

Mr Obama once served on a charity board with a member of the group, but he has denounced its activities.

A Democratic spokesman accused the Republicans of gutter politics.

"What's clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy," Hari Sevugan said.

Commentators say Mrs Palin's attack forms part of a broader Republican strategy to attack Mr Obama's character.

Denunciation

Speaking to supporters in Colorado and later in a Los Angeles suburb, Alaska Governor Palin said the time had come to take the gloves off.

Quoting a New York Times article, she attacked Senator Obama over his link to Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground, which waged a violent campaign against the Vietnam War.

The group was blamed for a number of bombings in the US in the 1960s.

Mrs Palin described Mr Obama as someone who saw the US "as being so imperfect... he is palling around with terrorists who would target their own country".

Mr Obama served on a charity board several years ago with Mr Ayers, who is now a professor at the University of Illinois.

The White House hopeful, who was a child when Weather Underground was active, has denounced Mr Ayers' radical past.

Focus on healthcare

The Alaska governor also said she wished the McCain campaign had not this week pulled out of the battleground state of Michigan, effectively conceding it to the Democrats.

Mr Obama meanwhile attacked the healthcare plans of Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

Speaking to some 18,000 people at a rally in Virginia, Senator Obama described the Arizona senator's policy as "radical" and claimed 20 million people would be left out by it.

HAVE YOUR SAY I'm a McCain supporter, but Palin really needs to fire the person who told her to say that J Young, USA

A spokesman for Mr McCain, who is in his home state preparing for Tuesday's second presidential debate, said that was "a bald-faced lie".

Healthcare is important to voters and the Obama campaign has unveiled new adverts attacking Mr McCain on the issue in every battleground state.

Mr Obama's Virginia rally came ahead of a Monday deadline for voters to register there and in more than a dozen other states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Florida.

Voter turnout could be vital in deciding the outcome of the 4 November presidential election.

Meanwhile, viewing figures show a record 69.9 million people tuned in to watch Mrs Palin take part in Thursday's televised vice-presidential debate with Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Oh Great! Now Obama was a Child Terrorist! Barack was born in 1961...so...how exactly did he participate. From this point on, the Republicans have gone too far.

...talk about thorough

I've done voter registration at my church for about a month or so. We have two services (8/ 10:45) and make registration available between and after services.

Reps of both parties can speak briefly during election season. Yesterday the Obama folks showed they are coming hard for Ohio. A Texas Obama volunteer spoke at the 8 a.m. service, and two California Obama volunteers? (at least one woman was from Cali) were at the 10:45 service.

After service, they rolled up on my registration table. I was like, hol up, hol up, ....I got this here

No, for real they inquired about our early voting mobilization efforts and whether they could be of help. They had charts and cross-referenced addresses, etc., everything. They appear to be quite serious about this "community organizing" thing.
