I think we know now that Daniel must be wrong. By his actions he was effecting the future. Locke was told by Richard when he was healing him to make sure he talked to him, so Richard must know that Locke's actions are important to keeping the future in place..... It so confusing....

I am thinking Widmore must have had something to do with the original Dharma program... Did anyone else notice that one of the paintings in his office said "Namaste"?

Mrs. Hawking is the white-haired lady who was in an episode waaay back when Desmond went to buy Penny a ring and she wouldn't sell it to him, and then she could see the future.

She's also the one who tells Ben Linus that he has to get ALL 6 of the Oceanic 6 back to the Island...or else...

I don't know her as Daniel's mom... I thought that was someone's (very likely correct) guess/hypothetical and not confirmed?

Anywho, she clearly is involved with time-travel of some sort since she shows Desmond that she has knowledge of future events. **I'm going to go look up this episode right now**

I don't think Aaron is completely out of the picture - being a b.o.i. has got to have some signficance. (Born on the island, for those not familiar with the term - Houstonians know it in reference to Galveston).

Penny better not be dead.

Although it would provide motivation for Desmond to return to the island - to kill Ben.

I think Ben killed Penny so now Desmond will come back to kill Ben....Remember Ellie said that the island was not done with him....

What I can't wrap my head around....How could you just up and leave you kid when you know you will be gone forever? Example, Sun just leaves her daughter and Kate just leaves Aaron....I think she left Aaron with his Grandmother.

Another weird thing I just thought about is the numbers. Flight 815 had two of the numbers in it (4 8 15 16 23 42)... This new one only has one of them. Maybe that means something? Like, 815 is comprised of ALL numbers from the combination in the hatch, and that's why the whole plane crashed. This flight number (316) is only half from the combination, so it didn't crash-land because the island only needed half of the passengers on it?

Also, don't forget that Dharma used hieroglyphs on the weird timer thingy when the numbers weren't entered in time and everything freaked out right before the hatch imploded. And then there was the necklace that was Paul's(?) that three years later Horace freaked out about when he found it in his wife's drawer was the hieroglyph that means eternal life.
