Burn After Reading

Has anyone else seen it? I loved it, but I'm also a huge fan of the Coen Brothers.

Not yet. I can't wait though. Great cast and the Coen brothers = MUST SEE.

That's what I was thinking. Our local newspaper critic hated it, but I never agree with anything he says.

Literally everyone in the theatre was absolutely howling with laughter at the end! There's one scene that I wanted to ask about - but I'll wait until ya'll see it, and even then, via PM.

My roomie's elder sister knew Frances McDormand in high school. I'd be a Coen Brothers fan even without that bit of knowledge!

I may be in the minority here, but I couldn't stand it! It just wasn't my type of movie, and I hated the way it abruptly ended.

Brad Pitt was hilarious though...

So I thought it was good but not fabulous. The previews gave me really high expectations. On a five star scale, I'd say probably three stars. I liked the ending. I agree Brad Pitt was awesome!

I thought that it was good- it was definitely different from what I expected. I thought that with Pitt & Clooney you could not miss, like the "Ocean 11/12/13" movies. I think that this one was just slightly off-base, however. If the ending was not so sudden, it would have been more likeable. My husband liked it. Lately though, if I like a movie he does not, and vice-versa.

I am going to see it with my girls tonight and I am so much more awkwardly excited than they are! I LOVE the Coen Brothers and I think Brad Pitt and George Clooney have such great chemistry on the screen when they act together.

I might see it with my mom or with girlfriends. The Boy thinks this is a DVD rental type movie.
