There are 2 national organizations for those interesting in parliamentary procedure: NAP (National Association of Parliamentarians) and AIP (American Institue of Parliamentarians). Both have local chapters, and there may be one near your school. Most members of either group would be happy to have you get involved with their clubs and help you in learning parliamentary procedure. Also check to see if they would be willing to do a workshop with your school (I'm a member of a local NAP club, and we've done this several times).
The In Brief book is great, but is not intended as a replacement for the full Roberts Rules of Order, Newly Revised (RONR). In Brief is intended as a way to quickly learn parliamentary procedure. (there are also the Dummies, Complete Idiots, and Everything books on Roberts/Parly Pro).
Also, both NAP and AIP have bookstores with LOTS of materials, much created by these groups and only available from them.
