pledge again?
I started pledging for a house last year and with a week until initiation I had to quit because of personal reasons. I am now ready to pledge again. Do I have to completely redo the pledging system or am I able to start where I left off?

You need to talk to the chapter about that, it will vary by organization and chapter.

This question is best answered by the chapter. Contact them.

While it differs from each chapter, I would assume that you would have to rush all over again for the same chapter.

Well by your terminology I'm guessing you're a guy. (Tell me if I'm wrong)
Most, if not all, fraternity chapters will want you to redo the entire pledge process and pay all the pledge dues again.
Besides, why would you want to pick up where you left off, towards the end, with an entire new pledge class and people you don't know?

That's assuming they even want you back.

Thats odd that you can even pledge any organization again after quiting a week before initiation.
Here we have what is called "the point of no return" and if you quit after it, there is no pledging ANY other fraternity, same goes with sororities

Where is "here"? If you have NPC sororities, then you are mistaken. Of course, it's up to the chapter - whether it's the same one or a "new" one, but there is no universal rule, as long as the woman has not been initiated into an NPC.

Right.
We had a gal in the pledge class after me who had to drop because of a family emergency. Her pledgeship was good for one calendar year. Before dropping, she told us that she'd be back in the Spring, and when Spring came around, she was initiated with that class.
Of course, her reason for dropping was a good one, and I agree, it would depend on the chapter to decide whether or not a dropped pledge would be allowed to continue.

I believe that a majority (of NPC at least) consider this "point" to be initiation. Ability of re-pledge depends on the HQ and chapter. The OP should ask the chapter for direction.
