Round Three - Philanthropy/House Tours
When I arrived at my meeting place, I was very happy to see that all four chapters from the previous day had asked me back for Philanthropy Day. Since the end of the last round, I began to think about which of my choices I would be happy with. I liked Clydesdale the most and thought that it would provide me with opportunities for leadership. I also liked Selle Francais, but not as much as Clydesdale. Hanoverian and Westphalian were definitely my bottom two choices because I just didn’t click with those girls as well as I would have liked. Ironically enough, my schedule was listed in my order of preference.
Clydesdale
Selle Francais
Hanoverian
Westphalian
Clydesdale- We were led in and we watched a video about their philanthropy. Then we made a cute little craft for it. After this, I was taken on a house tour. The house was absolutely gorgeous inside; everything was brand new. I spoke with a girl that I was paired with in a previous round, and it was good to talk to her again. I really enjoyed every part of this round, and I decided that if I was invited back for Preference, this would be my first choice.
Selle Francais- This round went very well. I spoke with two girls about the most random things. It was very nice and I felt comfortable there. The house was beautiful and had a very nice sun porch. I mentally ranked this house second on my list.
Hanoverian- I felt so bad at this house because I suddenly got very tired and could not stop yawning. It wasn’t because I was bored; in fact, I thought that the conversations we were having were quite interesting. The girls I talked to here were very nice and their house was beautiful as well, but I just didn’t feel like I belonged here.
Westphalian- I don’t know what I keep doing right to keep being asked back, but once again I just felt awkward here. I feel like my personality would clash with many of the girls in this house. They were extremely nice and I could tell that they loved their sorority, but I just wasn’t feeling a connection here. I placed this house at the bottom of my list yet again.
Ranking After Round Three:
Top 3
- Clydesdale
- Selle Francais
- Hanoverian
Bottom 2 (Ranked)
1. Westphalian
2.
The next installment of the story will be posted soon!! Thanks again for your patience

A Happy Ending...
Well, I have some good news to share with ya'll... I received a call this afternoon from the recruitment chair of a sorority asking me if I would be interested in joining because they just had a spot open up and had gotten my name from the Greek Life Office. So, thanks to COB, I accepted and attended my first new member meeting tonight. I am now a new member of.....
PHI MU!!!!!
(also known as Clydesdale in my story)
I was so happy to hear this news and immediately told my friends down the hall who were equally (if not more) excited This all happened so suddenly, but I am extremely grateful that I now have a happy ending to my story.
Thanks to everyone for your support throughout this whole process. I really appreciate the advice and encouragement you have given me!
