I understand your explanation - I was there. And I understand the quota range concept, thus the larger numbers actually pledged. However, the official number given to my chapter (and I believe, per Irishpipes, at least one other house) to turn inas an "A" list was 67. All other names attending a pref party were turned in as a "B" list. So the concept of quota started when Panhellenic told us it was 67 with a possibility of 13 more.
Exactly, because the lower end was 67. You needed to put everyone else on the B list in case it was 67. And then the 13 more they told you was the higher end of quota range. They have to go on the B list in case quota isn't the highest number so that it's obvious who is and is not on the A list in the end.
Exactly what lauralaylin said. Also, all chapters are given the same quota range. It does not change from one chapter to the next. We're arguing semantics. When all was said and done quota was set at 76 + quota additions. I know, I was there too.
