Personally, I don't see the problem with organizations getting together to have a party. Yes, in my opinion it does show unity very much so, especially when two frats get together and do their thing. I have heard of some schools having Cat/Dog parties (Zeta's and Que's). Just because our organizations are bound constitutionally doesn't mean we can't have a good working relationship and mutual respect for other greeks on the yard. I'm not saying that this needs to become a tradition where the same party is being thrown on a yearly basis, but once a semester, orgs may rotate and do things together whether it be a party, a community service collabaration or some other type of event. This shouldn't be restricted to just a frat doing a joint event with a sorority, why not have two sororities get together and throw something that is mutually beneficial to each org ....it's all good in my book! I've seen variations of this on some yards here in South Florida. For example at step/exhibition shows I've seen greeks get together and do a unity step, I've seen people throw functions together...I think unity is a better image to portray than to have people marching around hating each other for no other reason than so and so not being a member of XYZ org.
