Interesting that Whitney said she wasn't in a sorority. But if this guy was in a fraternity @ USC (even though he said he graduated from Columbia) wouldn't he have known Whitney & her sorority?

What do you mean? She just said she isn't in a sorority? Are you saying why did he ask if she was in one because he should have already known? South California is a pretty big school, and that's a lot of people to memorize!

I mean exactly what I said. I'm assuming that they went to school @ the same time (which might not be the case), but if he did, wouldn't he have known if Whitney was in a sorority or not.

no, because like I said, that an awful lot of people to memorize! It's not like U of South California is a BIG school or anything. He just said he was only there for a year.
Side note, do you remember everyone that is involved in Greek Life from your alma mater? I sure don't and my school isn't huge...

Yes. I might not have known them personally. But I could tell you who was who. Local, NPC, NIC, NPHC. From both schools I attended.

Yeah but chapters at USC have close to 200 women each, so it's possble that he may not have known of/met her while he was there.

I find this interesting too.
It has been posted all over GC that she was a Theta at USC, but unless she was initiated under a name other than "Whitney Port" she is not listed on our inCircle as a member. In addition she is not listed on our website under notable Thetas.
Not sure if this is another one of those cases where members erronously claim someone famous as part of their organization, or if she just had a different name when initiated (e.g. either "Whitney" or "Port" is a stage name)

I kept thinking that it was b/c of the rules that many of the NPCs have about the media. I just thought she didn't want to get in trouble by saying "oh yeah I was a ____" (i forgot what she was. ADPi, right?)

I just figured maybe he might have seen her at an event, especially since she was a collegiate when the Hills started. But I've never experienced Greek Life at a huge school like USC, so i'm just basing my experience on being a chapter of 30 w/ a similar quantity group of fraternity men.
