The tradition is to dress up for the games, so badge attire would make quite a bit of sense, I think.

She's keeping the course and hasn't been cut by anymore houses thankfully.
I told her that had she been a freshman she would have had her pick of the litter for sure. When I told my girls in the houses to look out for her they just went "A sophomore?" Hard to sway that mentality, for sure.

I'm new to this thread
My kid is going through this process. Nervewracking for Mom's and Dad's. Here's the deal, mine was only invited back to 1 for a house tour. Will she automatically get a bid from them? Will they still possibly cut her tomorrow? If you make it this far can it still be over? I thought all who wanted to pledge would be given a bid?

No, all who want to pledge are NOT guaranteed a bid. There has been some discussion that Arkansas may be implementing a guaranteed bid program, but even if they have done so, it would only guarantee a bid to a PNM who attends at least one preference party. So, if your daughter is cut by all chapters before preference there would be no bid. I'm sure that sounds very scary and negative, but keep in mind that no PNM can receive more than one bid, so as long as she has even one on her invitation list, she is in the game.

You crack me up, irish!
I feel lucky to have had one year's worth of skits during my college experience, and that a few of the campuses at which I've helped have been a little more stubborn in getting rid of the "frills."
plaid3, best of luck to your daughter. Being left with only 1 chapter at this point will be tough, but it's true that, in the end, she'll only need 1 bid anyway!

I have recieved 3 different messages on quota. 2 said 76, the 3rd said 67. I presume it was 67 and was later bumped to 76. In any case, AOII took 80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told 64.
Chi-0 took 82.
From my home town, we had a couple zeta's, a few tri-delts, a kappa, so far. Kind of a down year for the hometown. I took a few pictures on my camera phone so i'll post them when I get a chance.
My sophomore friend is a sister of irishpipe's, now.

So far it's seeming like everyone took 80 or more. I haven't read/seen exact numbers yet.

grades are HUGE at Arkansas this year.......know of a girl with just under a 3.0.........and she only got asked back to 3 houses for round 2. i'm afraid what tomorrow brings for her. whats up with GAME DAY Saturday.......the rushees cant even "tailgate" with their parents???
|
Yep... a very qualified girl friend of mine was considered a grade liability and dropped by most chapters first day. I'm not sure what she had out of high school though.

Were you there? I sat next to a lot of parents and brothers who had sisters going through. There were a ton of people there but it got so hot.
