That's a really fun tidbit! I highly recommend starting her collection of squirrel ornaments this year! Eventually, when the kids leave, my whole Christmas tree will be red, buff, green and Alpha Gam ornaments (including squirrels).

I was a Phi Mu at Oklahoma State...
Go Pokes! So glad it worked out well for BabyFlamingo! Congrats to her and to Alpha Gam. She is off to a great start! You mentioned houses.... I have never seen the sorority houses at UCO... are they nice? Where are they located?

The Delta Zeta, Sigma Kappa, and Alpha Xi houses are on the northeast corner of campus. The Delta Zeta house is just a couple of years old, really pretty. The Alpha Xi's just moved in to a vacant fraternity house. I know they're excited to have a house now. The Alpha Gam's are west of campus, with a couple of fraternity houses nearby. It reminds me a little bit of the Pi Phi house at OSU, especially on the side. I shall try to post one of my daughter's bid day pics in front of the house this weekend.

oooooh nice! I love that house.... Love to see pics when you get them. UCO has grown so much. Glad to hear the greek system is thriving. I'm sure it contributes greatly to a more 'residential' feel to the campus. Nice to hear a rush story from there!

Macon State? I thought she was at KSU (which since she always talked about Atlanta, I was assuming was Kennesaw State)? She has had AGD related things in her signature for a while now.
ETA: that's such an interesting little tidbit pinkflamingo. It's something special for you and your daughter to share!

That's why I asked if she transferred, last winter, she was at Macon State but kept mentioning she was hoping for a "good rush" in the fall (after first asking if she could start a Phi Mu chapter at Macon State). If she is at Kennesaw, she shouldn't have the results of rush yet, because isn't it going on right now?
So, I'm just confused, figured I missed her posts announcing her transfer and successful rush at..... ?
ETA: And then there's this post in the "did you wear letters today?" thread from July... http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...&postcount=286 So I = confused.

Well in April she said she was "at KSU" but there is no AGD chapter at Kennesaw State. Yeah I thought I missed her posts announcing her rush, as well. I would have assumed she went to the AGD forum to "introduce" herself, but I guess not.

I noticed the AGD signature and wondered about it as well. UGA is over with, West Ga is currently in their second day of rush, and Brenau doesn't begin theirs until mid September. With all the Georgia colleges and sorority talk, I saw the AGD thing and wondered...where? when? Strange.

Welcome to Baby F! I also strongly recommend the Squirrel Store Dee suggested. When I was Chapter Advisor, I would buy 3 squirrel calendars...one for the President, VP Operations and me.
Also have bought several gifts for other GCers
