Many people (like me) have DSL and don't log off of everything when they walk away from the computer. I've left a screen up at home all day long while I've been at work before, so don't put too much stock in the 'what they are doing' feature here. Just sayin'.

P.S. public information on GC =/= stalking. Times people log on, log off and what threads they are viewing are all public information.
