I think the torrential downpours and the tropical storm may have deterred some girls... after all they had to have prefs and bid day today. But yes, quota was pretty low.

I think the weather was a big factor at UF, and also the fact that the first Pref party started this morning at 8AM - which meant the PNMs had to be ready by 7! I know of at least one PNM who overslept and was released from recruitment for missing her parties.

Two girls that I knew from People to People pledged Tri-Delta at UF yesterday. =]

Edited: All the Kappa pictures are so cute! I'm in love with the sign that says "We love our baby Kappas".

My daughter is a Sigma Kappa at UF. She said that they got a terrific pledge class on Sunday. Sunday was a long, hard day for all the girls. My SK had to be at the house, dressed at 6:45 AM to get the house ready for the morning prefs. Then she had to stay after to work. She had a two hour break before she had to be back at the house at 5:30 pm to get ready to receive the new girls. They spent the entire evening with BID day activities and dinner. She was absolutely exhausted by midnight, when she finally got to bed!

Where are the rest of the UF results? This is strange. Usually they're all over the board by now, and all I've seen so far are my own and DZ's.

I am still amazed that a week after bids went out at Florida, we still don't know how recruitment went for most of the chapters. Thanks SigKapSweetie for being one of the few to update us.

Daughter just pledged Theta at UT. Although she was a legacy, she felt the most important thing during the intense UT rush was to "click" with a member. That member then "talks up" the PNM with juniors and seniors. Daughter is thrilled to be a Theta-one of the "Big 6" on the UT campus. Mom is glad it's over!

How horrifying if she had ended up as one of the "Small 7", "Eensy 8" or "Nothing 9s". Sounds like she had her game plan all worked out.
