I just heard a rumor that Debbie Phelps, Mike's mother is a Phi Mu. Any confirmation on that?
The only thing that I could find is that she graduated from Fairmont State in WVa and received her Master's Degree from Loyola College in Baltimore

I heard he was making out with a female swimmer from another country (Australia, I think) during a celebratory event after all the swimming events were over.
ETA: Stephanie Rice, gold medalist for Australia. I wonder what their kids would do as a hobby??? lol

Two East German gold medalists from the 70s did marry and later divorced. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kornelia_Ender I don't know if they ever had children.
Of course, Kornelia admitted the authorities injected her all of the time. She didn't know what it was, but has assumed they were steroids.

CONFIRMED
There was a Deborah Davisson Phelps that attended Fairmont State College (Beta Chi chapter of Phi Mu) ! If it's not her, it's a big coincidence!

It is her. I posted somewhere back that she was a Phi Mu in WVa.

I know that Fairmont had a Phi Mu chapter (per irishpipes thread)--so it's possible.
On an unrelated note: I just saw Michael Phelps in a Rosetta Stone commercial.
