My brother's car was stolen from in front of our house while he was away during his freshman year of college. My mom was in the hospital having back surgery (a week long stay back then) so my dad and I were busy with work/school and heading straight to the hospital every evening. That weekend, my dad and I went to pick up my brother from school and pulled up to our house and my brother says "Where's my car?" Dad and I looked at each other, incredulous. We had no idea how long it had been gone, just that it was sometime that week since mom was in the hospital. We felt awful. They found the car, miles away, completely stripped
