The judges in gymnastics are biased and the scoring is wrong, IMHO. At first, I didn't understand why the US coaches didn't file for a protest for Alicia yesterday. But when Tim explained it tonight about filing a protest, it makes much sense. But, the results were not right.

I 100% agree with Bela. Many people would say that "that is that", but sorry, the judges were showing favoritism towards the Chinese.

I def. agree and it's kind of sad but it's making me loose respect for the judging committee. I understand that to prevent bias you don't have judges from the same countries at the gymnasts but when the judges that are left are people from countries that have never won an olympic medal in gymnastics it's ridiculous. Nastia didn't have mistakes that were as noticeable as He which is what IMHO should've been the "tie-breaker" since they aren't allowed to double medal..

I don't understand why the tie-breaker is to drop another set of scores. I understand the reason for dropping the highest and lowest scores is to get closer to the median score. However, wouldn't it make more sense to break the tie by adding back in the highest and lowest scores, so that the tie-breaker score is based on all six judges instead just three judges.

It's a bunch of hooey. They deduct the next lowest score...WTF? So, the 14-year old had an 8.9 and Nastia had a 9.0. Nastia was basically punished for having a higher mark. How does that make any kind of sense?

Cheng Fei received too high marks in the Balance Beam Final. The fourth place finisher, Anna Pavlova, lost out by .05. Not to take anything away from Cheng Fei or the Chinese gymnasts, but Anna should have won the bronze medal. Cheng Fei's mistakes were grater in magnitude than Anna's.

With the diving contest last night, the judges gives 10s on the Chinese divers, and they have some minor mistakes, like flat feet in the dives.

That is an exaggerated walk that most gymnasts have done for years in meets. I remember doing it also as a young gymnast.

The judges have been showing favortism for the Chinese in many events. This year's Olympics have been a joke.
