Well I'd definitely check with your leadership consultant for ideas since that's part of what they are usually there for.

Is there a charity or agency in your area that could use your help making something they give away? I'm thinking along the lines of school supplies for kids being meted out (three pencils, box of crayons, etc.) which relates to helping kids ala S. June Smith. There may also be a group who helps victims of domestic violence or homelessness, and they put together kits for those they serve, which perhaps y'all could do as a philanthropy activity? Same goes for police, fire and ambulance, sometimes they give something to children to help them cope with an emergency, or may know of an agency that does.

I also like breathesgelatin's suggestions of something to give away to the athletes in Special Olympics. Even decorating a picture frame from the dollar store or a small photo album for a keepsake gift would be nice. Even buying some really inexpensive wrist or headbands (the terry cloth kind), or water bottles to decorate could be good. If you can get an Olympian to come and speak who any of you have worked with that could really showcase ASA's involvement and support of Special Olympics.

If a member can speak on how being involved in your philanthropy has affected her can always be moving and touching (if that is the campus norm).
