Cool Unity Walk

Here is an amazing pic I got from the unity walk. I'll post more pics later.

What did you like best?

I liked the fact that I ran into sorors I haven't seen in years. For instance, I ran into soror PinkIvy- the very first soror I ever approached as an interest.

What was your favorite event?

My favorite event was probably the State of the Sorority Address.

What most moved you?

So many things...I started to tear up as soon as I walked into the building. There was a life-sized cardboard statue that said "Sorors I'm so very proud of you- Ethel H. Lyle" (brought me to tears). Then when I walked into the meeting room and saw how many beautiful sorors were there hugging and smiling...it was breathtaking. I was also moved by the artifacts in the area just outside the meeting room and certainly by the artifacts at the Founders Library at Howard. At te founders library there were letters handwritten by the founders speaking of the organization (I'll post those pics soon).

What did you like best?
  • Getting my Pink and Green Bible
  • Seeing my linesisters
  • My undergraduate chapter shutting down the entire sidewalk from one corner to another singing, chanting and strolling outside of McCormick and Schmidts
  • Seeing one of the two living charter memebers from my undergrad chapter who is a Diamond Diva.
  • Hanging out with Soror Mommy and members of my current chapter. Watching my Great Aunt getting her Golden Crown.
  • Seeing several Sorors who went to college with me that I hadn't seen since I graduated - Soror SKEEphistAKAte is one of them.
  • My list can go on and on.

What most moved you?

So many things...can't name them but the IBTW Ceremony really did it for me.
