How'd she break her ribs? Mia's jabs at her weren't that hard!

I was so hoping that Kherington and Mark would break out with the Napoleon Dynamite dance when I heard the "Canned Heat" song playing.

Will and Katee were wonderful tonight...both numbers were fantastic! I also liked Gev and Chelsie's Contemporary, and Joshua and Courtney's Pop/Hip-Hip. It seemed pretty clear that Mark, Kherrington, Twitch, and Comfort will most likely be in the bottom tomorrow night. Kherrington wasn't very good but, since Comfort is a replacement for Jessica, I think Kherrrington will stay. Neither of Mark's dances were good, either, so the judges might assume that Chelsie carried him through the beginning of the competition (like Lacey and Kam last year). Twitch's Hip-Hop number probably saved him.
ZTAngel - when I heard "Canned Heat," I was picturing the last dance from the movie Center Stage.

Chelsie, Will and Katee are my top picks for who will win.
I really like Kherrington in the beginning, but I just don't think she's as good as some of the other dancers now.

Oh, I love that movie Center Stage!!! I need to buy it for my dvd collection!
I loved Will and Katee last night, they are amazing and look like they could go pro tomorrow. I also loved Joshua and Courtney, and Chelsie and Gev (although Chelsie is clearly a stronger dancer). The dancers seem to really be shaping up. I was kind of worried about some of them.
Twitch is an amazing hip hop dancer and both my husband and I loved the hip hop he and Comfort did (and we're not big hip hop fans), but that slow waltz was abysmal. Poor Mark, he really pulled the short straw. That Texas two step was terrible, I wish I could have seen Chelsie do it because her turns are so much better than Kherington could ever hope to do them. It was so choppy and a two step is supposed to be smooth and gliding. The other dance was bad too, I love the music, but there was no energy in the dance.
I hope Comfort goes, but Kherington could be the one to get the axe. I think Mark will go, but you never know how strong his fan base is from when he was dancing with Chelsie.
Now that the fans pick the losers, and the judges can't save anyone, fan-base is critical. If Will goes home, I quit!!! JK - I'm an addict!

Will and Katee nailed the ballet routine last night. I don't think anyone else could have performed at it near the quality. I would honestly be happy if any of the boys make it to the final four. For the girls, I'm only feeling Katee and Courtney. I think Kherrington really brought Mark down last night, so he may be going home.
Confession time: I actually picked up the phone and voted for Joshua last night. Has anyone else voted for their favorite?

That wasn't ballet. It wasn't even contemporary ballet. I hated that they built up the anticipation for a pas de deux (which I actually think those two would have been capable of), because I was immediately let down. It was just a stronger and more intricate modern than what has been done on this show before. They just had to give it a 'special name' - believe me, that's how you get Desmond Richardson.
Not to say it was bad, it was amazing. And they were probably the only two who could have executed it that well.

Yes, I've been voting for Joshua too. Not only because he's from Fort Worth, but he's just all kinds of awesome.

I would love to see a couple do a dance en pointe this season but I doubt it'll happen. It takes a lot of training - significantly more time than their alloted 5 hours with the choreographer. Plus I think the only people who could pull off a routine en pointe would be Katee, Will (well...ballet since men don't really do en pointe) and maybe Courtney.

I actually voted for the first time last night... I voted for Twitch. I think he's great, but I don't feel like it went that well for him last night and I don't want him to get voted off!
I also feel really bad for Kherington. I love her, however, she did not dance as well as the others last night. I hope she stays!
Katee is an amazing dancer.... there's just something that still bothers me about her. I really don't like how she acted during the auditions, when she said she wouldn't try out again if she didn't make it on the show this time. Nigel even made a comment last night about how they came close to not having her on the show.

it won't ever happen unless it is assigned to a couple with strong enough technique IN BALLET to do it. It has nothing to do with the 5 hours of rehearsal; it's the technique you bring into that rehearsal. You can't fake it. Same reason they don't have tap. They just wouldn't be able to do it justice.
Years ago when I was doing The Nutcracker, I was assigned a partner one year who's technique in ballet was horrendous (it was a non-profit, they took any guy available). Even after months of rehearsals, he did not have the technique to support me. I was lucky I wasn't severely injured. When the same role was offered to me again the next year, I declined because he would have been my partner again. He made me look terrible and I didn't want a broken neck.
They may have allowed Rayven to do it had she stayed, but Jessica (few seasons back) was better than Rayven and only had the chance to do so during her solo. IMO Will is the only male capable of a classical pas, and Katee would be my guess as to has had the most ballet, though that doesn't necessarily mean her pointe work is great. Courtney - absolutely not. You can see it in her technique and carriage. Though I'm open to her surprising me.
I'm okay with them forgoing couples' routines in ballet, but please for heaven's sake, bring in some NYCBallet, American Ballet Theatre or Pacific Northwest Ballet as a guest on results night!
ETA: They should bring back DANNY and Jessica for a pas! That would be fab. =)

TOTALLY agreed about Will being the only one who I would trust to do classical ballet.
I get really annoyed at some of this show's versions of genres. Including faux "ballet" and faux "Viennese waltzes." Dancing with the Stars at least has the advantage of being accurate to the styles for the most part, and the judges usually fault the professional dancer if they do something crazy choreographically. Of course on this show, it's all about stroking the choreographers' egos so that would NEVER happen.
On that note, I meant to say I TOTALLY agreed with whoever said Mandy Moore is just not bringing it this season. The Thayne/Comfort lyrical thing from last week was AWFUL. And it wasn't just the dancing. The choreography is just lame and over.

I was really shocked to hear tonight's results. I thought Comfort should have gone home. She doesn't have the technique or the versatility. She keeps getting lucky and getting dances in her own style which save her. I'm not sad to see Kherrington go, though, because she was kind of like, "Waaaaahh the judges hate me"; translation: I'm a brat who can't handle constructive criticism now that the competition has gotten tougher.
I didn't want either of the guys to go home, but I was hoping Gev would stay. He is very adaptable, unique, talented, and just a great performer.
