I'm actually much more like my father in personality and temperament. I'm much more laid back than my mom, but I think I got an equal share of strength and humor from her through her nurture as I got from my dad through nature.
One of my brothers is very much like my mom -- too much so for their own good, at times. I recall some periods of time during our teen years, living with those two was like witnessing the clash of the titans. They both somehow survived it, though, and he's still more like her than I am (he doesn't like when I tell him that, though -- nor does his wife
). Maybe that's a thing for some guys, I catch my husband turning into his mom sometimes. I call him on it quickly though, with a "sure, (his mom's name)", and that always snaps his brain to attention. I don't think he cares for it either.
I think my hands are shaped similar to both my mom and her mom, so I guess that counts for something.
