We get our beef for free from my parents. We just bought and had a whole hog processed, so our freezer is full of meat right now. We have three tomato plants that are starting to produce tomatoes and some cucumber plants that are growing in pots by our house. When the sweet corn finally matures, we'll buy a bunch and freeze that. Otherwise I'll try and buy fruits/veg when they're on sale. I would go to the farmer's market, but that's on hiatus due to the flooding.

The closest HyVee quit carrying it about a year ago. I think the one a few miles further away still carries it, but the husband is the one who's been buying the beer lately, so it could very well be up to $8.99 now. It's not as fun to buy when you can't drink it.
