We had a similar incident locally a few weeks ago. I can't tell you how upsetting it is when it hits this close to home. The woman is a member of the only synagogue in champaign, and while I don't know her personally, she is still a member of our community. I mentor a fourth-grader through Big Bros/Big Sisters and she asked me to explain to her how a woman could kill her own child.
