I am getting alot of negativity from another sorority in my area. I have been trying VERY hard to build a bond yet it seems to be getting worse. I have now been called a "dumb broad" on another forum.

Background Information:

I met a girl online on a general chat room and we began talking about canadian sororitys. We started e-mailing back and forth about canadian sororitys (this is back in like April I believe). I asked if she knew about any sororitys in my area that I could look into joining. She said she found only one nammed "***** ***** shocka". But she told me I should stay away from them because she was told she would have to get a shocker in order to be initiated. You can imagine my reaction "ewwww". Later I joined a forum (will not name) where I introduced myself and my exctement for starting my own sorority. I said one scentence about wanting to start my own because there was no sororitys and the one I knew about you had to get a shocker. They pounced on me like hungry wolves. It was horrible.

Time goes by and I found my sorority. I e-mailed the "girl" back and turns out she has no soul! This girl turned out to know absolutly nothing about the sorority or even live in my area for that mater everything is going fine and I'm learning to ignore the horrible comments. untill last week I got an e-mail from another sorority claiming that I had "slanderd" their sorority. I appaulijized and explained the situation. Unfortunatly I got an e-mail from a friend saying I should go back to that first forum and see what had just been posted. "Dumb broad" they called me. They seemed extremely upset over my comment. I had already e-mailed this other sorority trying to explain what had happened.

I'm at a lost for words. I very angry that the president of that sorority would allow for something to be posted taking a direct jab at me. I don't know what to do. I don't want the Greek Life on campus to turn negative. I just wanted to build a positive sisterhood just like everyone else!

I'm doing my best to not allow this to effect my sorority but it's effecting my relationships and daily life. Please ANY advice would be welcomed.

Maybe that's how you spell it when someone named Paul tells you he's sorry.

Apparently there already is a local called Delta Phi Nu in Texas http://deltaphinu.net/index.html

I know there's the whole argument about there are only so many letter combinations, two locals can have the same name, ect.....but I'm just sayin
