That's a dumb answer, IMO. It's not like composites are some great tradition for fraternities that can't be encroached on. There's no national "standard" for composites. There's plenty of traditions and ritualistic stuff that have to be done right or you're not really your fraternity. The composite is pretty clearly not one of those traditions.
This topic just really surprises me. I'm from a very traditional, top-tier southern chapter of a fraternity that is good (if very traditional) nationwide and that composite doesn't bother me. No we wouldn't take our composite that way, but I think it's funny and ok for a co-ed fraternity at a pretty odd school. Why is it such a travesty to some of you all?
