No wonder you won't say what fraternity you're in because you don't want them to find out you're spewing crap contrary to what greek life is supposed to be about. You're not a greek brother, you're a "fratboy", just the type that my greek friends hate.

Brosephina, I know what chapter he's in and it's not even one of the extremely fratty ones. In my opinion reading how you talk to him and the opinion about the fraternity system you seem to have, you don't really belong in the greek community. I dunno if you're gay or not, but if so that right there keeps you from a bid at my chapter (and many many others). So does the fact that not only are you old, most of the brothers could have completed undergrad twice before they reach the age when you'll have completed it once.
In ten years you'll be 34 and looking for your first job as a doctor. Even if he goes to law school he'll have already been practicing for probably 6 years (and be 2-4 years younger than you). Who's "going somewhere" again? Maybe if you are really serious about med school you would know you still have a very damn long time before you become a doctor. You still have 2 years of undergrad, 4 years of med school and 3-7 years of residency depending on what you want to do.
And yes, I drink. Was that thought supposed to be going somewhere? Was it supposed to reflect badly on him? If so, maybe before you rush you should know that you're going to have a hard time finding many greeks, particularly guys, who don't.
