Those are the only options for the names of my first two daughters (if I'm blessed with children) and I'm only 22! I had no idea those were old names.
But, I have decided on one middle name--Olivia Christine.

Don't forget - you have to factor in the last name. As much as I wanted to use the family name Jackson, had I had a boy with my first husband, I couldn't have used it. Jackson Thompson just doesn't work!

Yeah. I used to dig the name Bailey but it rhymes with my husband's last name. (I hyphenated my name when we got married and it drives me crazy enough having to constantly spell it and explain what a hyphen is that I would never saddle a kid with the hyphenated last name.)
For a boy I like:
Jonas
Graydon (family name but everybody is an -ayden nowadays)
John (Jack)
Michael as a middle name - every male in my husband's family has the middle name of Michael
Girls:
Evelyn
Kendall
Isla
I also like Grace, Kathleen or Elizabeth (family name) as middle names

I knew a kid in elementary school whose name was Frank Crank. No lie! And, he was Frank Crank, Jr., so it was his dad's name too.

^^^When I was in the 5th grade, I met a girl named Ruby Ruby. She thought it was the coolest thing in the world, but we lost touch before McDonald's commericials started featuring Eddie the Echo. I always wondered how that worked out for her.

When I taught 6th grade, there was a kid on one of the other teams named Zach Morris
He was probably born in 1993 or 1994, right at the end of Saved by the Bell's run.

Maybe it shouldn't, but it really does surprise me how many people seem baffled by hyphenated last names. It's not like this a brand new concept ... My husband and I (we have the same last name, but hyphenated) will give people our driver's licenses so they can copy it down from there, and they STILL will get confused. Not that hard, people ...

For those of you who like Grace, Patience, etc:
After years of interviewing people, running their background checks, and seeing how they work on the job, I am totally convinced that naming your child after a virture is somewhat guaranteeing that s/he will turn out the opposite!
We've had tactless Graces, a sneaky Honor, more miserable Joys than I care to think about, and don't even get me started on the Temperence!
All the names I like are family names - the downside of being a genealogist!

I grew up with a girl across the street from me named Dixie Autum. It flowed well with her last name.
I was in grad school with a guy who was the 9th in his family name. He has an old traditional Hungarian name. When his son was born, his son's name was the 10th. I was impressed.
For some reason I have no problem thinking of girl names. I'm liking Amaryllis now. I just can never think of any good boy names.

Seriously, you know a Dixie? My mother's name is Dixie Lee, and I think I've met about five in my lifetime - including, strangely, my roomie's mother!

I have loved Carrington for years now. But, I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to learn how to spell that as a 3 or 4 year old!

I've mentioned somewhere on GC in the past that all 9 of our daughters have C middle names (this was not planned, rather something my husband wanted to keep doing when the first 2 happened to have them) and I've kept a mental file of more in case we ever adopt again. They include:
Caithla
Chaille (pronounced 'shall')
Cahalin (pronounced Ca-HAY-lin)
Ceslie

My poor baby Madeleine always ended up wrapping her name half-way around the paper when she was in kindergarten!
