I have never watched the show but when I had my Sex & the City movie party with members of my alumnae group, one of our members brother is an ice road trucker on the show. Freaking scary!

Husband is addicted to this show and Ax Men... I am waiting to see if he's gonna make me watch the new oil rig show.

This sounds like Mike as well. Last night, we watched the new oil rig show mainly because my father-in-law is an oilman and was curious about it. Mike loved the show and got a kick out of everyone but the "worm" aka rookie getting fired for not going to work while he dragged his hungover body in.

Is anyone watching? I have caved & started watching and it's right up there with Deadliest Catch as a must see for me.

My favorite trucker by far is Jack Jessee. He's freaking awesome. I also like Lisa. She's funny & it's great watching a woman doing this kind of work.

I haven't watched in a while, but I love the show. (Gotta catch up via OnDemand.) I have my CDL Class A, and I loved learning to drive a big rig! Driving on regular asphalt is dangerous enough, but I love watching everyone professionally handling the ice road, the whiteouts (unbelievable), and the mountains. I respect those drivers on the show so much.

Lisa is my favorite just because I love watching another woman do what most professional operators will not do. She cracks me up since she loves putting chains on the tires. Remember one of the guys from Canada (not the "Polar Bear") had trouble with the chains, and the older guy left him because he was frustrated with his rookie behavior? (Now that was unprofessional in those conditions.) This show is excellent..., but the narration is m'eh.

I think about ice road trucking, but this show brings me back to my trepidation. *shudder* I'll stay in the lower 48.
