Oh my gosh you guys, thank you so much for the info! I still don't know if I'm going to rush yet, but I'm leaning toward it. For AXWhoah, the i'm a legacy in DG and my friend's soro is Alpha Chi. I heard a rule from one of my friends that said if you are a legacy in a sorority they must invite you back to at least round two and that if a legacy makes it to round four, she must be given a bid. My friend said that these are NPC rules and go for any sorority... is this true?

Every NPC sorority has its own rules about how legacies are treated during rush. I think the general agreement is that they will be invited to the first 2 rounds. After that, it is up to the chapter. In my sorority, we can cut legacies even after later rounds, but we usually make a courtesy call to the legacy's DZ relative to let her know that the cut is being made. That way, she finds out straight from the chapter, instead of hearing about it indirectly from Panhellenic Council after the cut has been made official.
One point I should probably make: all the sororities will know that you are a legacy to certain organizations once you fill out your Rush form. If you are interested in a group that you are NOT a legacy to, it is probably a good idea to let them know of your interest and that, just because you are a legacy, doesn't mean that you are only interested in the legacy organization.
Sometimes, groups will assume that legacies only want the chapter they are a legacy for, and won't offer a next-round-invitation because they don't think the legacies are interested. So, let each house know that you have an open mind and are looking at ALL the sororities, not just the ones to whom you are a legacy.
I'm glad that you are thinking about going back through Rush, Aiya. Please keep us updated about your decision!
