If Rebecca and the others are still pledges then why are they allowed in chapter meetings instead of having seperate pledge meetings of their own? I don't know, but they all still have pledge pins, go ask the people who write the show, the show has a limited time frame and for certain aspects they are trying to get each character as much volume has they can, and they leave the pledges out of the meeting then it misses important details. Also none of the meeting seem to be ritualistic in nature so why not include pledges?

Oh...yeah it is just a show so it makes sense that many things i.e. pledges going to members only meetings were added to make the show's story line more interesting.

I have to disagree w/ you about the ritualistic nature of the meetings. Lizzie, Libbie (whatever the National monitor's name is) had the ZBZs return to traditions like doing their pledge @ the start of a meeting. That alone is ritualistic enough that no non members or even pledges should know that, only full members.

Some organizations allow their new members to attend regular chapter meetings. When I was pledging, we had our pledge meeting and then joined the regular meeting after they completed Ritual. Good thing both meetings were held on the same night. It was a long night, but I enjoyed it because it really did help us feel like we were part of the family.

I can only speak for my own organization, but there are special ceremonies in which new members can participate. The bulk of our Ritual is learned at Initiation, however.

In my chapter, new members were allowed in on a lot of that type of stuff. I think the only thing we couldn't do as new members was be in on officer installation because it involved some stuff from initiation. This varies by org of course, but this wouldn't be unrealistic to see since it does actually happen IRL.
