Also, SoFla tends to be more Democratic while the state government is Republican. The state takes their money (and lots of it since SoFla has a lot of wealth) and uses it towards causes that SoFla doesn't agree with.

I may be in Atlanta now where I get made of fun for being from SoFla (since SoFla isn't really "the South") but my heart will always be there. I'd move back there in a heartbeat. I guess you could never understand unless you've lived there. It's vibrant, diverse and the winters are non-existent!
