LSU has a very strong Greek Community, but I am sure being from out of state ahs no bearing in recruitment.

The PNM are jusdged on themselves along.

Godd luck, but you have a while to worry about this!

i'm not sure, but they won the national title.....and i don't think all of their players are from louisianna. so they might not be too bad at getting out of state recruits.

Depends on what fraternity you want to ultimately be involved with. Top tiers (I think Kappa Sigma and Phi Delt are at LSU but not completely sure) will have their pledge class pretty much locked up before rush starts. However, there is always room for a few more guys if they really like them.
Lower and Middle tier will be on the lookout for guys no matter the state. However, some are traditionally all southern guys (which you will probably fall into) and others are traditionally guys from north of Kentucky.

Seconded.

First off, any out of state student is at a disadvantage coming into the LSU scene. Majority of the fraternities at LSU host rush parties in the summer in every major city in Louisiana. Lake Charles, Lafayette, New Orleans, Shreveport, and obviously Baton Rouge. So therefore, anyone attending these rush parties gets their foot in the door.
(I'm pretty sure this is the same in most states)

Second, while being yourself is always a good idea, it helps if you don't stand out like a sore thumb in the way dress and act. I'm not really sure what the current dress for Georgia and the dress for both is continually evolving so its a little early to inquire about that. Right now, sperrys, ralph lauren, and costas is pretty standard dress among LSU fraternities.
---Not really sure but apparently jorts seem to be a problem in georgia, and those are never coming back into style, so do yourself a favor if you own a pair and just burn them now---
