Ask anyone who's ever lived in Hawai'i. Anya lists her hometown as Waipahu, and that's a little strange considering there aren't too many people who look like her that live there. Not quite that "surfer" accent, but definitely local and very pidgin-like.

I guess you'd have to live here or hear us speak to understand.
Thanks for the info OTW. I had no idea she was from Hawaii.

LOL at how she's won two challenges & had to get naked each time.
At least she doesn't mind getting naked for shoots. That has been the downfall of many other on ANTM.

Apparently Anya was born in St. Petersburg, Russia but lives in Waipahu, HI now: http://www.midweek.com/content/mwspace/category/C691/

Some of my elJay frenz might remember hot bartender Ryan. Russell Tanoue's the local celeb photographer who shot both of them.

FINALLY.

So so glad that we don't have to watch the painful thing known as Lauren anymore.

At first I liked her because she was different. Over the weeks it really didn't seem like she wanted to put a little effort into looking a lot less awkward. She had great pictures, but over time she just turned into a joke of a model.

I secretly hoped Whitney would be the one sent home, though.

I actually feared that Whitney was the one being sent home considering that the panel has made some whacked decisions before (i.e. keeping Jaida as long as they did, picking Jaslene and Naima as the winners).

Ok...the whole thing with Fatima and her travel documents...I'm sure the producers of the show knew about the situation from the very beginning and left it till it was almost too late for her to get them. They should make sure everyone is able to leave the country before the show even starts and they choose any finalists. Maybe I'm just noting this, because I have a green card as well.

I think this is the first time where there really isn't any drama queens that went abroad, such as Lisa, Bre, Melrose, Jade, etc.

I'll be honest...the only one I don't like is Dominique. She looks, and photographs really old to me. I really like the other 4, including Anya...she's grown on me.

I agree. Anyone but Dominique. I thought Katarzyna was blah at first, but the fact she had some personality last night was nice to see.

Now I'm not sure where big important fashion capitals are (besides Paris, Milan, Tokyo, etc.) but I think I would like to see them go abroad maybe to Rio de Janerio, Brazil, or Buenos Aires, Argentina. They haven't gone to South America yet.

I was hoping they'd go to Brazil this year, too...but hubby says they can't go to Brazil because the Brazilian models are way more pretty than the Top Model girls, lol.

Ugh...I hope that soon the judges will look at Dominique as Renee from cycle 8...that when it comes to the cover girl shoot, that she'll photograph older than the rest of the girls.

I though Katarzyzna has the most promise of all of the other models left. Maybe it is a "blessing" that she was sent home now. It isn't like any of the "winners" of ANTM have really done much.

Are saying that appearing in the Surreal Life and My Fair Brady doesn't make a model successful? LOL

I'm just tired of Dominique and well Anya and her accent are just bugging me too, but considering the judges LOVE to pick girls who can't speak (i.e. Jaslene & Danielle) I wouldn't be at all surprised if Anya wins. I'm still rooting for Whitney though. A "plus size" (i.e. a normal woman) needs to win! Considering most of the population is not a size 2

I agree with this whole post. I don't know though, Anya has just had too smooth a ride to not crash and burn. Plus I think Whitney would be an ideal CG spokeswoman once she gets over her nervousness.

Fatima will definitely get modeling gigs once this is over but I just don't think she is going to win. Dominique...uggg.

Dominique is becoming too cocky, which she should watch. It has gotten past girls in trouble.
