I always wondered if other groups did have rules on what was appropriate or what was not appropriate because of what I've seen online. Does NPC/IFC have any rules at all on appropriate peri?

So you leave it up to interpretation?
On another note, I don't understand how you want to be different from the NPHC but borrow certain things like the protocol of what is appropriate. But then again, if it's working for you and you're growing then more power to you. Rock on.

For the record (to those of you who read to comprehend):
Rocketgirl never said her organization borrowed its paraphernalia protocol from the NPHC. She said it SEEMS similar.

LOL I feel you on that. I don't think I should have to explain my orgs nicknames vs. full name. Anyway I'm done with the matter. I said my piece and now I'm back to the original topic

i've had the shield on the back of the jacket debate before, and personally, I do not like it. I've had the shield over heart vs. letters debate before (ie should letters go on the left or right when you also have a shield). Someone pointed out that our letters came before our shield, BUT our shield as our letters in it, sooo...only because our shield has our letters on it, we can wear it either way (left or right).
my org has very specific protocols for how our letters can be displayed, where they can be displayed, and the same goes for our shield and other symbols. Also, anything that is sold as a fundraiser with our letters or symbol on it (like a t-shirt) MUST be approved by our nat board.

I saw a girl jogging the other day in shorts that said "Theta" across the back. Then another girl in Juicy Couture-type sweatpants that had I believe Z Phi B on the butt.
This needs to end.
p.s. Peri is the girl who played Roz on Frasier and I don't know why she is in this discussion.

I've seen flip flops with reversed letter cut outs in the soles. When worn on the beach they leave imprints in the sand. I admit I thought that was cute.

I'm sure others have nicer feet than me, but I don't feel like my letters and my feet go together. You just shouldn't walk on your letters, IMO ... To each her own, tho'. OPhiA's Rose Shop just introduced letter flip flops and they're selling like hotcakes.
