Hey, ladies, sorry for the crash, but as it's the 6th anniversary of Lisa's passing, I was looking for old threads about her. I'm about to watch this documentary again and was intrigued by the thread. I know it's old, but some things piqued my interest (before Arizona ruined it ).

I happened to be in Atlanta the day this aired at the film festival (one year ago, today, actually). It had already been shown at several festivals at the time, but for the 5th anniversary, the family wanted to bring it to Atlanta, the place she called "home." And the film was attended by Lisa's brother and sister (Ronald and Raina) and I was blessed enough to get to meet them afterward and talk to them. I just wanted to say that the speculation about suicide is definitely not true. The people in the car said she swerved to avoid something on the road, but no one saw exactly what it was. She wouldn't have tried to take her own life at the expense of all her friends who were in the car. The family actually has a pending lawsuit against Mitsubishi because, at that speed, the car never should have flipped over. And yes, that actually was the end footage just before the crash; it was not raining and there was no storm. The whole thing was edited by a filmaker in conjunction with her family. Her mother, brother, and sister approved everything before it was shown and agreed to show the last bit rather than edit it out.

Again, please excuse the crash. I just couldn't help but notice the things I know weren't true (there's more I saw, the stuff about her childhood and why the house burned, etc.) and wanted to say something, especially today. Ron (her brother) set so much straight when the crowd asked questions and when I talked to him, I just wanted to speak up, hope you don't mind the resurface.
