So… as I was saying, I wrote two names on my paper-
1. Luke
2. Miss Patty
As much as I liked Miss Patty, I knew that 60% of the reason I wanted to go there was Hannah. And what if she didn’t get a bid? Or what if she hated it and dropped out? I would be stuck in a sorority that I only felt so-so about. In the end, I had to put Luke, I knew that I would never regret joining them
Christy ranked
1. Rory
2. Miss Patty
I asked her point blank if she liked Rory mostly because of their “prestige,” and she said that she did, but she also felt really close to the sisters and cried at their ceremony. Hannah LOVED Miss Patty, and said she can’t believe she ever wanted to be anything else.
The next day- BID DAY!- we woke up at like 5am and started pacing around the kitchen. We finally went to pick up our invites at like 9 or 10. There was that split second of terror (we don’t do phone calls) while standing in line, then… MY ENVELOPE! I was so thrilled that I got a bid to my first choice… Luke… aka…

DELTA ZETA!!!!!
I was so excited and ran around to find the other girls that had DZ invites… then we all ran to Wal-mart and got pink and green facepaint and ribbons and got decorated to run to our new sisters! I still remember this as one of the craziest and happiest days of my life so far (Haha… I’m not married and I don’t have kids… those will probably take precedence someday).
Hannah got a bid for Miss Patty! AKA… Sigma Kappa!
Christy also got a bid for Sigma Kappa, which made for some awkward moments between her and Christy. Christy was very unhappy at first, and kept on going on and on about how much Rory had led her on. But, eventually, she came to love Sigma Kappa and is very very involved with them.

Congratulations to you and DELTA ZETA - and, of course, to both of your friends and SIGMA KAPPA!

Belated congratulations to you and Delta Zeta and to your friends in Sigma Kappa! It sounds like you had excellent women pref you at both chapters. What entrance song did Sig Kap sing that got stuck in your head? Was it "Come be a Sigma..."?

Actually, it was like the Coke theme, but they did "Always Sigma Kappa." I still get that song stuck in my head every now and then.

When I rushed, AXO used a Coca-Cola theme, where "Always Coca-Cola" became "Alpha Chi Omega". That song was stuck in my head for a while...

AEPhi has a song with that tune as well.

Congrats all around.

The Maryland AEPhis do that one as well, but it's less sing-songy (and less prone to getting stuck in your head) than the Zeta one.
