everyone has given great advice. i would reiterate that you get those recs. to all 15 chapters and that you keep an open mind-give each chapter a chance. juniors can get bids at fsu, but they have to be willing to keep an open mind(and an open heart).

about the recs.-alumnae(and sometimes collegiate members) can only send a rec. to the sorority they are a member of. in other words, your cousin can only write a rec. to another alpha phi chapter. however, if she has friends in other sororities, and those sororities have chapters at fsu, maybe her friends would write a rec. to their sorority based on her recommendation. often if you find one sorority member, chances are she will know women who are members of other sororities. ask your parents friends, your friends parents, former teachers, present instructors, ladies in your church, and your friends-someone should know someone.

IMMEDIATELY find out if there is an Alumnae Panhellenic group in your area, and see if you can register through them. They may well have informational teas or seminars which are very helpful, plus if you register with them they will try and get recommendations for you. However, don't count on them to do it for you. Do your own legwork, too.
