And this applies to private as well as public universities?

Most likely public only. The state would have nothing to gain by having kids go to private schools in Florida.

They will give you the equivalent of the 75% of tuition at a state university (UCF, USF, etc.; FSU and UF are slightly more expensive).

i believe that it also applies to private colleges within the state, but the stipend would only be an amount equal to a public school tuition.
