Leaving public and kids for now. I'm headed more towards health and nutrition and plan to volunteer to work in the schools in some capacity. I love kids so I will never totally abandon them.
I see you are in Georgia. We are losing a lot of great teachers to you guys. We had a science teacher leave and he had such great things to say about the pay and the cost of living that we had a few more follow.
Are you a teacher?

Yes, I am a teacher! I teach in suburban Atlanta, middle school language arts. I'm finishing my third year right now. The pay is pretty good around Atlanta, but I'm not so sure about the more rural areas around the state. The salary really varies county by county because there is a state base salary for teachers and then each county adds a local supplement to the pay.

I teach middle school mathematics right now.
I've heard also that a lot of teachers in Talahassee drive to Georgia to work because they get paid better.
God bless the teachers!
