I plan on going down to the office Monday morning, no worries. I love how it's the company that fired you that pays it, that still cracks me up! And, as it turns out, I know yet another person (an IT guy where I just got fired from) who worked for this university prior to here and knows all the right people to tell about me God, I hope this job works out...Greek Life and Intermurals Advisor... sigh. Pray for me!

Good luck to you. Make sure you have any type of written communication that took place between you and your boss. When I got fired, my company was cool about paying me unemployment. Somewhere along the line, they tried to get out of it and filed an appeal. We had to have a hearing, where my bosses bascially tried to lie on me and say that I was this aweful worker. The unemployment office side with me and that was that

In our state, it's more complicated than that. Its actually the past 3 companies you worked for that pay. I can't remember the calculation they use, but when I worked in HR we always had to verify employment of people who worked there years ago and were not let go.
