I caught the episodes. The tastiness known as Lamann (sp?) Rucker was featured on one of them.

Must have been the 2nd ep.

I noticed the guy in the barbershop (the one with the hair brushed to the front) was in another one of TPs plays. It may have been Family Reunion. He was the guy, I think, who cheated on the wife with her sister/cousin.

He also looks like Regina King's hubby from This Christmas.

No, that was Laz Alonzo from BET. He also played a mover in Disappearing Acts. Most memorable line: "The number's on the f'in truck, lady!" (after he was asked to assist Sanaa with moving her belongings from the curb and complained when he refused)

He was in ep #2 during the first hour. That was a rerun from when Brown's daddy died and left him that shanty.

I hadn't watched the show in months so I don't know about all that you typed in white. Sounds like your a House of Payneologist though.

Bite your tongue and may your cankles swell to the size of casaba melons!

Basic cable + nothing on tv on Wednesday nights = me watching House of Payne.

That one ol' bowlegged weeble wobble (the uncle) is kinda growing on me. The rest of the cast can kick rocks.

I'm not happy with the Sophia Patrillo curse you tried to put on me.

May you be humped merrily by the biggest geek or whoever looks like Uncle Curtis at your next social engagement.

Chris Rock called it "pump fat" and that it looks like the woman is baking bread in her shoe. lol

I don't think Lamar likes girl parts. He looks like he could turn a mean double-dutch rope, though.

I watched a couple episodes last night and I still love it. I'm in class when it's on, so I watch them on the net. I always laugh, so it's all good over here (oh, and I LOVE that Janine is back. I love Demetria McKinney, but I like her better as the "bad girl" like in Why Did I Get Married, the play).

P.S. That cankle is NASTY.

I like the uncle and the aunt too. I agree with you about the rest of the cast, though. The little girl can go play on the freeway.

I know this sounds bad, but when I watch a sitcom, I want to laugh, not learn valuable lessons. I had my fill of "very special episodes" in the 80's! There is too much hugging and learning on "House of Payne."

Also, they can't seem to stick to a story. Case in point: I watched the episode where Janine tells Aunt Ella that she is pregnant. That was like 5 minutes of the show. Then Calvin comes in telling everyone that he's "graduating". Hubby and I are like, "What happened to Janine being pregnant? Are they coming back to that?" And they never did, except for that slip-up that Aunt Ella made to Uncle Curtis that went completely over his head. So, maybe they'll pick that back up tonight.

Let's see if they get back to Janine's pregnancy tonight.

Why would they even attempt to throw in Calvin's supposed graduation? Such a waste of a storyline, IMO.

I so haven't been keeping up...so did Janine and CJ re-marry or did Janine just move back in because she had no where else to go?
