This goes for any of the gazillion espresso stands in Seattle: I drink nonfat lattes and Americanos with a bit of half-and-half, and in the summer, iced nonfat lattes with just two pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup. I don't go for the super sweet stuff, and from the time I spent working at Starbucks up here when I was in college, I'd say that's pretty typical in Seattle (except for the caramel macchiato fans).

I don't know many people that drink frappuccinos...they were created by Starbucks to pull in young customers, and boy did it work. There is actually A LOT of caffeine in the coffee/mocha ones. And as the poster before me noted, a lot of calories, too.

Tip for those of you who order "light" vanilla lattes at Starbucks: "light" vanilla at Starbucks means half the amount of syrup. It doesn't mean nonfat/skim. Just in case anyone didn't know that

Vente non-fat chai latte. It's breakfast, in and of itself.

Chai! Latte or iced.

Also, at least at my Barnes and Noble Cafe, a Tall coffee/mocha light no whip is about 90 calories. Plus being a member gets you 10% off. Yum!

I keep it simple:
iced coffee/whole milk/hazelnut syrup. I am down 5 jean sizes over 2 years ago, want to keep it that way. They no longer have almond syrup

I like their iced mochas in the summer and I enjoy their baked goods, but there's not much else I like.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Mocha Valencia (and it kills me that they've replaced the valencia syrup with a too-sweet orange syrup)

Also, I refuse to buy into Starbuck's nomenclature, so I specifically ask for a small, medium or large coffee. Does anyone else do that?

Vente skinny cinnamon dolce latte, no whip.

One of my Kappa friends worked at Starbucks when she was interviewing after she relocated, and swears that the most often ordered drink is a vanilla latte.

At the store I worked at in a Seattle suburb, by far the most popular drink was the tall nonfat vanilla latte.

I do. Then they repeat my order with the Starbucks word. I'm just like, whatever.

This thread SUCKS because I gave up Frappacinos for Lent. I like the Caramel and the Cinnamon. But I actually like the Caramel or Vanilla ones you can get in the bottle better than the ones you buy at the store. You can swill them quickly and get a massive buzz.

And the ones in the bottle are probably a LOT better for you - a grande caramel frappuchino is 380 calories and 15g of fat! Mind you, if you don't do the whipped cream the fat content drops like a lead balloon!

LOL. I think their nomenclature is stupid, but I also think that their prices are beyond ridiculous.

Of course, I don't like coffee that much to begin with, and when I do drink it, I want cream and sugar and that's it -- no foam, no espresso, no syrups. I go in a Starbucks maybe once a year, and I order hot chocolate.

Yeah, I'm boring.
