Clarion did many moons ago (I'm guessing they still do). My mom had some physical issues so they stayed in a hotel instead. If they had only known how familiar I would become w/ the bar attached to that hotel, LOL.

For summer Pre-College (the two day Freshman orientation) Ohio University did. The parents could sleep in the same room as the student (if the parent was the same sex) or get a private room. Honestly, we didn't spend too much time in the room other than to sleep.

Athens doesn't have too many hotels, so it only made sense to have somewhere for the parents to stay on campus.

Denison University (in Ohio) does.

Drive from Orlando. It is about 10 hours but you would not have to rent a car and you would certainly spend less than $430 on gas which means it would cost you far less than for three of you to fly.

I think I should get at least 1/2 a point for bringing up the important of pre rush? I'll settle for FSUzeta hooking me up with a member from her old chapter.

I realize that it has been a while since this has been discussed... but YES, UA can provide a room for you and your parent for orientation. I know because that's where my dad stayed last year when I needed to attend orientation. There may be an extra fee for having your parent sleep in a dorm in addition to yours, but compared to a hotel room, it's definitely a cheaper alternative. Also, the dorms provided during orientation are Lakeside (and maybe Riverside as well). They are not the one-room dorms, but rather the more apartment-style with separate bedrooms for each person.

On a separate note (and the one we started off on), the best of luck to you during recruitment!
