Some of mine were so kinked up they were unwearable. I ended up making over $750 on the gold I brought.. and it all fit in one hand! I was very excited! Who knew my first husband's wedding ring would bring in some real cash someday!

Hmm... I'd try my former wedding band, but it's probably fool's gold!

I do like the idea of the parties, though. My brother put my class ring down the garbage disposal, and I just have the remains - it's still gold, though. And of course, the regulation 80's gold chains, the funkier heirlooms, etc.

Funky heirlooms..yeah. My mom had one ring with an Amethyst heart in it. My daughter loves the stone but didn't like the design of the ring. The guy took all the major stones out and gave them back to me, so I have a heart shaped Amethyst that I plan on using to make into a pendant for my daughter. The ring wasn't her style, but she'll still have something special from Grandma this way. Besides, my daughter is more into silver than gold.
