Oh, I didn't know they used to be apartments. It would be interesting to see how the buildings were like before they were turned into dorms.
On another note, I thought of one more story. Last one, I promise. A couple years ago, we were at Thon to support and cheer on our sisters that were dancing. Most of us were up by the fence, but Q was behind us playing catch with a boy. The boy was probably around 12 and they were just throwing a little Nerf football back and forth. Well, Q's aim went a little off to the right and hit me in the shoulder. So I go to throw the football back to her but intend to hit her in the shoulder. Since she's quite short, I aim low. However, my aim is also about a foot and a half off to the right. I had hit some middle-aged man in the crotch. I was both mortified and trying not to laugh. I yell out "Sorry" and turn away in embarrassment and to cover my laughing. The man's wife is sitting in the bleachers right near me. She saw the whole thing and was completely cracking up.

Yeah, I was saying it wouldn't have gone over well with some other chapters that I know of.
Aside from the active jumping on the car (which would've scared me), you all pulled it off. The "we're the pledges of Gamma Phi" phone call is cute.

My chapter at Arkansas State got along well with the chapter at Southeast Missouri State. One year, several of our guys went up to SEMO for a weekend. One of the sororities was having a dance, so several SEMO Sigs arranged for our guys to be dates.
Our guys go to the dance, everyone's having a great time. A few had too much of a great time, including one that I will call JR.
The sorority had arranged for buses to take them to the dance and back to campus to avoid any possible drunk driving issues. JR and his date ride back on the bus. JR, despite being drunker than Cooter Brown, is a Sig gentleman and walks his date to the door of her sorority. Kisses her goodnight, all's well.
JR leaves to go back to the Sigma Chi dorm. Problem: SEMO Greeks (at the time) all lived in Greek dorms that pretty much looked the same. JR is totally lost, wandering around, plastered out of his mind, looking for the Sigma Chi dorm. Finally, he sees some blue and gold, walks in the door. He can't remember which room he was in, so he finds the chapter room, strips down to his boxers, and stretches out to sleep on the couch.
The next morning, the guys are getting ready to leave and come back to ASU. But, no one can find JR. The dorm is searched high and low: no JR. Parking lot: no JR. Even call campus police to make sure he wasn't picked up. Nothing. The SEMO members are searching all over campus. One of them calls the XYZ sorority. His date is tracked down, she hasn't seen him.
Several XYZ girls decide to search the campus area around their dorm. They head downstairs. Guess who's stretched out, in his boxers, on their couch?
JR wakes up to find 7-8 girls standing around him, watching him. He glances up and says: "I'm guessing this isn't the Sigma Chi house."

Pranking is a like an art at our campus its done so often!
The amount of times the DG anchor on our front lawn has been pranked is pretty funny.
Some of the things that's happened to it.
the anchor on our front lawn has been ripped out of the cement (or the cement block out of the lawn) by both the Lammies and the KSigs (this was awhile back...like I think Ksigs in the 70's and Lammies in the 80's or something)
And a couple years ago (or longer) the lammies, who apparently love pranking the dgs, also froze our anchor in a giant block of ice.
Our house is right next to the Deke house so theres also mini-prank wars on eachother.
A lot of the sororities and fraternities have token stuff on their front lawns or in their house that gets "borrowed" or pranked. I can only remember a couple of random hijinks that chapters have played on eachother:
-The dekes have two lions on their lawn that apparently have gotten pranked before
-the Pi Phi's have a wooden bench outside on their porch that the lammies love to take, is been taken so much that its now inside their house.
-On the night of Pi phi formal this year, one of the fraternities blockaded both of the doors to the house with giant snow piles so the girls couldn't get in (thankfully some of their escorts were able to run back to their houses and get shovels!)
-The lammies have a giant paddle called "George Rho" that gets taken every so often, as well as their clock on the main floor.
-And of course, composites are always a favourite to "borrow" by fraternities.
