I've been bored since cycle 7, but I'll still watch.
On a side note, I really wish Tyra still just walked in a like a normal person instead of putting on these ridiculous entrances just to listen to the girls adore her.

Yeah, I think that Tyra is either really full of herself or has low self esteem. On "Top Model", the girls are constantly talking about the wonderful Tyra. On Tyra's talk show, she always manages to have every topic focusing on her. She is always bringing up how she looks, her modeling career, etc. It's like she cannot stand interviewing people, if she can turn the focus back on her. The audience might forget how amazing Tyra is.
Oh, I am slightly disappointed in the group of girls. It could be due to my lack of an eye for discovering models. Some of the girls are just not that attractive. I feel bad for saying it, but hey this is a show about looks.

Yep. "The Soup" has been saying this for years. They have even done montages (sp?) of self-indulgent Tyra. Funny stuff.
As for ANTM, I prefer to wait until the season is over and I can just waste an entire afternoon and watch them back-to-back on MTV.

The Soup is funny when they make fun of her. I never knew how self indulgent she is until I watched their montage(sp). She turns every topic into a discussion of her.

I do the same thing. I was tired of ANTM a few seasons ago.

Me too! I've only ever watched reruns on MTV so this will be a first for me following it as it's happening. I love my new DVR

I love watching "The Soup" when they make fun of Tyra. It is so true!

Not entirely happy with the girls they chose this year. There were 3-4 that I would have switched with the other runner-up girls.
I could have done without Marvita, Dominique, and Amy (aka "Amis"). I liked Kristen and the other plus-sized girl.
Marvita kind of looks like a less-attractive Ebony from Cycle 1, and her personality reminds me of Bianca from last season.
Tyra always says she doesn't want to put another "black b*tch" in the house, but they've cast one ever year except Cycle 8.

I really, really, really, really want a "plus sized" model to win! Probably because most of the women in the world, aren't size 2 and OMG they actually, I don't know, eat.
Marvita was brought in for some drama. I mean as if Tyra and the guy's (or the judges) don't know what goes on at the house
I really like Claire. Amy (one of them) reminds me way to much of Lisa.
I also like Stacy-Ann and Kimberly
Did anyone else notice that a few of the contenders last night looked like girls from previous seasons? One girl looked exactly like Norelle from cycle 3.
Should we start taking guesses on who is going to cry during the makeover (even though there have been 9 previous cycles so these girls should know that the makeover will happen )

Not going to happen. I don't care if most women aren't a size 2. Designers don't want to show clothes designed for smaller women on larger ones. Those that design for larger women, use them. But, the vast majority of modeling is not done with PS models.
I am a size 12-14. So, don't tell me I do not know anything about the topic. Even I don't want to see a plus-size model win. They just don't look as good. And, their niche in the fashion world is limited. When you have a plus-size model up against a Caridee, the plus-size will not look as good. Truth hurts.
If, and I say a big IF, there were a plus-size that was better than anyone on there, sure let her win. But, let's face it -- plus-size models simply cannot maneuver their bodies into some of the body poses done by the slimmer models and make it look GOOD. When we have extra weight, we have some limitations.
And, honestly, I would rather see clothes modeled by a smaller woman. The clothes look better.
Blast me now. I know you'll try.

I totally thought it was the same person until I read this post. I thought it was weird they were making a big deal about bringing Marvita back without making a big deal about bringing back the other chick. LOL.

Not really surprised that Atalya got sent home. I almost forgot that she was even there.
Glad Barbie's gone too. I feel bad for the girls who were cut in the first episode. They WANTED to be there. If only Tyra would bring back one of them since it's still so early in the season? One can only hope...

They probably won't. Didn't they take Dominique as an "extra girl" to begin with? However I wouldn't mind seeing the girl who had the family fighting in Iraq getting a chance.

Amis thinks she's Edie Sedgwick, and she is really, really, really NOT.
I didn't understand the whole "extra girl" thing, especially since I know now it was Dominique the tranny. I honestly think the blonde girl who left because she isn't into fashion is on the top 10 of dumbest contestants ever.
