I can't wait to see Amy again on You Tube. She rocked. I really love her voice and her back-up singers were awesome. I feel the same way as other posters; I think she was embarrassed.

As for Tina... LOVE HER TO DEATH

She is so thin, and there is a timidness about her.

On another note, why do some English people not sing with English accents?

Okay, and Natalie Cole announced the award. That is some superb hater action.

I am appalled at what Natalie Cole said about Amy. Yes, she did deserve it. At least Amy sings about what is on her mind and doesn't hide it. Many other songs have subliminal messages, and are much worse than this. Hmmmm...What was Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds about?

^ Answer: John Lennon's son's friend named Lucy from school. John's son came home with a picture he drew of her with diamonds in the sky.

And yes, I would like to buy that bridge you're selling in Brooklyn.

Loved hearing Vince Gill's little smart ass remark to Kanye West. Classic. That douchebag is the most arrogant, self-centered, whiny bitch I have ever seen.

Well, he doesn't and to this day I will commend Kanye for saying what everyone else was thinking and knew. But I am not interested in making this one of those threads, so my remarks on the subject begin and end here.

I loved Vince Gill's comment too about getting the Grammy from a Beatle.

Can someone please explain the difference between Album and Record of the year. Why are they two different categories? A Record is an Album, no?

This is from Wikipedia, so well, you know:

Quote:
  • Record of the Year is awarded for a single or for one track from an album. This award goes to the performing artist, the producer, recording engineer, and/or mixer for that song. In this sense, "record" means a recording of one song, not the composition or an album of songs.
  • Song of the Year is also awarded for a single or individual track, but the recipient of this award is the songwriter who actually created the song in the first place. Thus, "song" in this context means the song as written, not its recording.
  • Album of the Year is awarded for a whole album, and the award is presented to the artist, producer, recording engineer, and mastering engineer for that album. So, in this context, "album" means a recorded collection of songs (a multi-track LP, CD, or download package), not the individual songs or their compositions.
I was wondering about the difference too, SoCalGirl. Looks like the only difference is the technical stuff.
