The chapter took a pic with her. I'm undecided about the Ivy Ball. Will you be here?

AKA news from the far southwest corner of the U.S.
The San Diego Union-Tribune printed a very nicely done article on Epsilon Xi Omega in their Currents/Passages section, which is a slice-of-life section that runs on Sundays. The writer is one of very few AfAm writers at the paper. Enjoy:

Quince Elected Chief Justice of Florida Supreme Court
Peggy Quince, Florida Supreme Court Justice and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha's International Membership Committee, has been elected chief justice, the highest judicial position in the state.
Quince's milestone is doubly significant. She becomes the first black woman to lead the Florida Supreme Court or any branch of state government. The chief justice also oversees the entire state court system.

The Boule is less than 80 days away!
Sorors,
The time is fast approaching. As a member of one of the hosting chapters, I look forward to meeting all of my beautiful sisters. If you can think of anything that would make the experience even better please express your suggestions.

Trust me, there was no way the tv station could capture the entire exhibit. That segment would have been much longer. There was so much history in that exhibit, that you would need an entire day (at the least) to go through it extinsively. It's well worth the trip.
ETA: Yeah, one was your former RD.

TRUE DAT!!!!! I got kicked out of the museum when I went. I had no idea so much time had passed and the museum had closed. They were doing their closing sweeps when they found me and told me I had to leave. I wasn't done yet, either. I only had one more part to see and they still made me leave. Hmph.
But I am glad it was here in Cinci and that I didn't have to travel for it. But I would have b/c it was definitely worth it!!! Soror ST, go early and make a day of it so you can take your time (and not get kicked out, lol).
