Mine was a sapphire-and-pearl one with enameled letters. I lost it in April of 2007.
I had a recording secretary dangle. My guard was our coat of arms. I decided I wanted that instead of my chapter letters since I had to wait so long to be able to wear the coat of arms. I figured my chapter would come up in conversation anyway. The coat-of-arms guard is no longer available for the general membership but is used for LCs or GCs or some other official office.
I do have a 25-year pin now, but I do plan on replacing my badge one day.
