I have a few happy things to report:
1. I got a new job! I'll be running the news on the web site of the local NBC affiliate. I will have NORMAL HOURS! Woofreakinhoo!
2. I am taking over as chapter advisor for my chapter. Very excited and honored.
3. Yesterday was my birthday! 25 years young. 
4. I will edit and add something else here in a couple days.....

I had my job interview yesterday and I think it went pretty well - I should hear in a week or two so keep your fingers crossed!

Yea! Isn't getting a new job exciting? There is a nervousness and anticipation that I love! Congratulations to all y'all!!
We just found out we'll be closing on the new house in about a month! Here are some pictures I thought I'd share!
The exterior has been stuccoed and painted, we are now waiting on the well and sprinkler system, and then sod and landscaping.
The cabinets are waiting for installation. You can see the back yard and "lake" from this view.

Oooo ...looks good, summer! And my happy news -my daughter has been admitted to my alma mater, Southwest, er, Texas State University and awarded an academic merit scholarship!
