Live Story - Sorority Recruitment Spring '08

Well good news and bad news! I got invited back to half of the houses. But I got cut from the other half. ouch.

Judy Garland: I went back here this morning, but the conversation didn't flow as well as yesterday. I'm pretty sure my excitement about this house yesterday was more seeing my old friends than feeling like i belonged here. I really like this house and it's cute, but I think its probably not for me.

Ingrid Bergman: Well I chose this as my least favorite yesterday so obviously didn't get invited back

Audrey Hepburn: I did not get an invite back to Audrey. I was most disapointed about this one. I really loved this house yesterday, and I liked the girls I met. I don't think I did anything wrong, it's just probably how it goes. And I was thinking about it, and you know as much as I loved this one and everything I saw about it I probably don't fit in here as much as I would like to think. So I'm a little sad but it's okay

Grace Kelly: Well this is the one I absolutely loved yesterday. But today I felt like I kind of blew it - this was my first one today and I went right after I found out I got cut from Audrey and Elizabeth. So I was a little sad but really trying to be happy, and the conversations were so generic and, well the girls were nice but there weren't any great connections. Right now, I am still really interested in this house and today I saw more about it and really got into the events they do. But I left kind of feeling like I would be cut. And seriously, I'm probably going to be really sad if I do especially since I felt like I was so at home yesterday

Elizabeth Taylor: Didn't get invited back, but not too sad since I knew it probably wouldn't be the house for me anyways.

Deborah Kerr: This is the one I had to miss yesterday, and I was a little nervous I wouldnt get an invite because of that but I did! So Im happy about that, and I'm visiting this one soon so I'll write once I've been there.

I was more disapointed than I thought I'd be after getting cut. Like the first thing I thought of was, "what did I do wrong, do I really make such a bad first impression?" But I guess that's how it works. So I'll see tomorrow. But this morning I thought for the first time since I decided to go through recruitment that maybe greek life isn't for me? hmm we'll see.

Don't even start that... Try to keep a positive attitude throughout FR. If you're depressed about getting cut, the chapters you DO go to will see it and think that's just how you are and that's not a good impression to leave. You want them to think you're happy to be there or you definitely won't get invited back! And you should be happy to be there, these are women who saw something in you and wanted to get to know you better, so be happy about your invites and go out and have a great time! Oh my gosh! haha, no you're totally right, maybe I wrote it wrong, but I didn't really mean Im going around depressed all day because I got cut. And I was actually super excited to go back to Grace Kelly. I was just sad at first because I think I wasn't really expecting it (I know, I was probably a bit too confident). And I always sort of assumed I would be in a sorority but i think it's good to keep in mind that it might not be for some people. But once I got over that, I did have a great time this morning and I'm really looking forward to seeing this other chapter. Haha so Ill post once Ive seen it!

okay so i just went to Deborah Kerr.

I had a lot of fun! The conversations were totally random and I loved the girls I talked to. We did a cute little craft and chatted a lot (obviously

) Plus I was so excited I had the chance to visit them because I didnt get to the first day. Yay!

So now all I've got to do is wait for tomorrow...

Today was the best day ever. I got invited back to Grace Kelly and Deborah Kerr!!!! I was SO excited, and just really glad I got to go back to see these since they were the ones I like the most.

Grace Kelly: Once again I LOVED this one. I was so nervous this morning that I might not get invited back but I did of course and was thrilled. I met a couple girls and all of the conversations were great except for a really short one I had with one girl. There was a slideshow and conversations, and I left feeling really happy about it.

Deborah Kerr: ALSO loved this one again. I had a lot in common with the girls and never felt uncomfortable. And of course there was a slideshow. All of the girls were just really excited about their chapter. One of the things I like about this chapter is when you hang out with them you can just be totally ridiculous and crazy and everyone's such great friends.

Tomorrow's Pref Night, so hopefully I get to go back to one or both of these! I like both but I think I can see myself more as grace kelly. I dont know though, they were both great. So just gotta wait for tomorrow now, Im keeping my fingers crossed!

And I hope everyone has a lovely day.
